Colloquium: Lian Greijn (Space)

Currently there are ongoing developments for a precursor mission to mature the technology needed for space-based nulling interferometry. This mission would serve as a set up for a large-scale mission aiming to detect and characterize terrestrial exoplanets. A major challenge so far is the the determination for the optimal configuration, especially due to the limited size of the spacecraft. This research performed a comparison of the three leading configurations by means of a signal based simulation study.
