Conference: Sustainable urban mobility and urbanization

19 February 2025 09:00 till 12:30 - Location: Berlage rooms - By: Communicatie BK | Add to my calendar

On 19 February, the conference 'Sustainable urban mobility and urbanization' takes place.

Recently, there has been an increasing interest in the concept of shared mobility to stimulate reduced traffic flows, lower environmental impact, lower car parking space and cost for drivers and improve accessibility. The concept has been used as an umbrella term as part of shared economy that brings together sustainable travel behaviour and sustainable urban infrastructure from social, economic and environmental perspectives. It not only provides opportunities for implementing urban innovation in the city but also stimulates a better understanding of interdependencies and interconnectivities that is necessary for the city to enable the flow of people and goods. In this seminar, we bring together scholars and practitioner to discuss sustainable urban mobility and the role of shared mobility systems.

Speakers

The speakers include: Prof. Renato Anelli, Achilleas Psyllidis, Alwin Bakker, Iris Ruysch, Erik Rozen, Reyhan Safari.
