Projects
Wu Kai's research project is focusing on the combination of additive manufacturing (AM) and topology optimization (TO). He aims at developing a complete design scheme for multi-axis additive manufacturing, including both structural design and process planning.
His research interests include topology optimization, parallel computing, and multi-physics modeling. Besides, he also has research experience regarding metamaterial design and compliant mechanism.
Biography
Kai Wu is currently a PhD student of the Structural Optimization and Mechanics (SOM) research section, PME-3mE-TU Delft.
Kai Wu received his B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2017. He received his M.S. degree in Solid Mechanics from Tsinghua University, China, in 2020.
